New to TFP, old to pool ownwership

Hi All!

A pool came with a house that was perfect for our family 20 years ago. We've done the maintenance and repairs ourselves with help from local pool store experts. Just looking for more input and willing to offer insight from our experience.

I suggest you read Pool School - ABCs of Pool Water Chemistry and consider reviewing the entire Trouble Free Pool School book.

You may also want to get the Pool Math app.

Welcome to TFP... a great place to find the answers to all your "Why have I been doing it wrong all this time? questions..

I suggest that you read our Pool School and see what we are all about. Pool School - Pool School

I suspect that our pool care methods are not at all like the ones you are used to, if your primary learning has been using your local pool store.

I know I was surprised at all the things that I though were "gospel" that turned out to be mostly myths after I became a TFP addict...

Thanks for the intro... Now all you need to do is swim over to one of our Subject-Oriented Sub-Forums and start reading or asking questions.
