17 day vacation

I am going on vacation for 17 days. I'm looking for a cheap and temporary way to slow drip 1 gallon of muriatic acid into the deep end of my saltwater pool while I'm away.

I found a cheapo battery powered pump to pull it off a few years ago and it had sacrificed itself to do it. For the life of me I can't find that same pump for sale anywhere anymore.

Why not just do it once and go have fun? I've gone to Italy for 17 days and come back to a pool just like I left it. My pump and SWG run low and slow its normal schedule, but covered pool.

What is your TA?

In 3 weeks nothing bad will happen as the pH rises to equilibrium with the TA.

When you come back adjust the pH back down.

Ph is a long term concern and it won't be high for the first (half?) of the trip.

Let it be and have a good time. When you get back, make sure to tell the SWG what a good girl she is.

I use a puck or two in a floater for pH control when we leave for short period. Be sure you account for the CYA increase.

I've used 3 tabs in a floater while on vacation, mostly for pH control and a small CYA bump. You can do a practice run before you depart to see their effect.
