Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this forum and am loving how much advice, tips, etc. available. We recently purchased a 15'x24'x52" oval Saltwater pool from poolfactory.com. It's a Saltwater 5000. We decided to do the pool install ourselves since the pool companies are super busy and unable to schedule us in. We did have a landscaper help us dig the massive hole for the pool as we're setting it in ground about 27". We had rain after the dig was complete, due to the hurricane that came up the east coast, which filled our hole with about 3" of water. We've been waiting for the soil to dry out, but it's taking forever since it's clay. Now that the clay is saturated., everytime it rains the hole pools with rain water and we have to use our sump pump to drain as much water as possible.

Well this is the 3rd week after the dig completed, and we want the pool installed so we can enjoy it for what remains of the summer. So we're tackling this ourselves. Time and weather are not on our side. as it's supposed to rain again tomorrow and Thursday. So we're trying to rush and get the pool up and liner in, so we're not left with another muddy mess. We got some quicklime and tilled the clay yesterday afternoon, and it was practically nice and dry today. We rented a compactor today from Home Depot to help us tamp down all the tilled soil and got it all level. Both machines are amazing by the way!

But it keeps raining! Anyone also experience the challenges of weather delaying their pool install?
