Jandy PLC1400 Aquapure chlorinator high salinity reading?

22000 Gal fiberglass pool at about 80F
Last week readout said salinity at only 1800
Pool store tested to 2800 - added 20# of salt.
checked elec. connections and cleaned electrodes and reading came up to 3200.
Today Service light on and reading jumped to 4000
Today cleaned cell in acid solution, rinsed thoroughly and now reads 5000!
SERVICE light is on and service code says salinity too high.
Chlorinator problem, electronics problem, calibration problem, or something else? Suggestions?
Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

I do not have that style SWCG. My memory from posts say that if that brand shows low salt and your real salt ppm is not low it is a sign of a failed cell.

But you say your salt is too high now. Do you have an independent way of testing salt? We recommend having a K-1766 salt test.

Hopefully some other members with more experience in Jandy equipment will chime in.

Take care.

You need to troubleshoot the sensor. Make sure the sensor is clean and the cable is not damaged.

Google "Jandy aquapure testing pdf" and there will be a guide on how to troubleshoot the system.

Make sure you get an accurate salinity number that you can trust.
