Corona, CA Pool Build

I was able to get most of the fireplace framed in, electrical run and I'm just about ready for lath. I have the framing inspection scheduled and the roofing materials should get delivered tomorrow. I'm definitely on the home stretch of this one and need to get it wrapped up quickly...I've got another build to start within the next week or two!

Agreed....my idea of an infinity edge is owning a home right on the coastal road in Monterrey, California. Some day.....some day.....

You know the inspectors up this way are know to be even more diligent - so you probably couldn't get Brian up here to build it for you as he would go even crazier than he is now in Corona...

One of our inspectors was looking at things that were from the original house build. Turns out we also ended up having him when we did our PV solar a few months later. He was just as "detailed". Our local PV contractor knew about him by reputation only and had heard that contractors were turning up at the city ready to fight the guy! Oh and he also works half time in Monterey:stirpot:

He probably hangs out at The Mystery Spot...that place will make anyone crazy

The roofing supplies showed up and I decided to wait until it was 120 degrees to install it

I also had another run in with the inspector during the framing inspection who contradicted what the previous inspector told me to do. The only thing better than doing something twice is doing it a third time to return it to how it was originally done :brickwall:

Here's the roofing. The stucco lathe is also done and inspected but I forgot to snap a picture. My stucco guy is about as unreliable as they come so who knows when he'll show up...

He does do good work but secretly I keep using him because he's so entertaining.

Here's been married 4 times and has 10 kids. He calls me Once (Spanish 11) and says I'm the son he never had. He's horrible with answering the phone and never shows up when he says he will... I've sworn I'll quit using him at least 10 times now but I keep coming back....I guess it's a family thing.

Every time I ask for a price he says "you can afford it" and walks away...
