FCL read time

Hey guys, I have the Taylor 2005 Drop test kit for free chlorine. How long after invert mixing the comparator tube should you read the FCL? I notice the longer i keep it after mixing the darker the colour gets (purple)

You read it immediately. That's what the instructions say.

The combined chlorine test is listed as read immediately not the free chlorine test.
