Turbo turtle polaris

I'm a new pool owner, so everything is still so new too me. So I bought the turbo turtle polaris pool cleaner and installed exactly according to the directions. But when I turn the filter back on, I have water leaking out of the top of the filter itself. What could be causing this?

Does water leak out without the Polaris hooked up? I really can't think of any way the two would be related. Also tell us what filter and pump you have.

Without the cleaner, the filter works fine, no leaks nothing. It's a sand filter, when I hook the cleaner up that's when it leaks.

Where exactly is it leaking out of the top?

From underneath the clamp that is on top of the filter body

Got me stumped. Sounds more like an issue with your filter than your cleaner to me though, assuming the Polaris is hooked up properly.

Okay, so I unhooked Polaris. Then turned my filter back on, and it's still leaking. But it defiantly was not leaking before I hooked up Polaris. What could that mean?

Crank down on the clamp for starters. Make sure it's tight.

Beyond that, I'd start with the valve-to-tank o-ring. Pop the clamp off, and it will be on the underside of the multiport valve where is makes contact with the opening on the tank.
