When my pump runs on low, doesn't appear to create enough 'flow' for salt generator to work is that normal? Also seems the pump kind of vibrates around a little bit on low and doesn't seem to be running smooth, i.e. maybe not enough suction to pull anything? What does all that mean. Pump is 2 years old this June.

What kind of pump is it and how man rpms on low?
I believe mst SWGs need 1100-1200 min.

So if its a 2-speed pump, you'll need to run the swg on high. If its a variable speed pump, just boost up the number of rpms.

Please add equipment info to your signature when you have a chance ;)

jzs,

Since the pump is two years old, I have to assume to was turning on the flow switch before and now no longer works.

The first thing I would suspect is that your filter is dirty.

What kind of filter do you have, what is the filter pressure, and when was the last time you cleaned it?

Thanks for posting,

Jim R.
