High Salt Levels

My pool company started up our brand new Salt water pool 2 weeks ago. All levels are balanced within range (I have been testing with Taylor). However, i just received my Taylor Sodium Chloride test add-on test.

Sodium Chloride is coming in at 4,200 to 4,400. I emailed pool company today, but curious your thoughts. What are the dangers of running high? Do I need to drain and refill some water?

As long as the SWCG is happy and generating chlorine, no, you do not need to drain water.
You will have some water exchange over time -- you do not show how you are filtering but if you have a sand or DE filter you will backwash. You will also have some splash out, etc. Your current salt reading just means you will not need to add salt for most likely a very long time!

Take care.
