    Question Adding chemicals

I need to add salt and cya. Can I do both or should I add one and wait to add other? Thanks

I am adding cya in sock in front of return. Is it ok to leave my sand filter pump on filter mode or do I put it on recirculate while dissolving?

Filter. And if the filter needs backwashing, no worries. The CYA is in a sock, not inside the filter. That's why we recommend that method.

Thanks Richard. Just to clarify, I don't have to wait a week to backwash? How about testing cya do I have to wait a week? Thanks again

Backwash whenever you need to. Hold off testing CYA for a day or two after it's all dissolved and the sock is empty, to allow it time to completely disperse.
