Discolored vinyl

Start-up was going well, except salt level was stuck 2300-2600, so cell wasn't generating. I was going by the level indicated by the SWG, which must have been malfunctioning. I was only adding salt one or two bags daily. I then added one lb of shock. Next day, the salt jumped to 4100 and the vinyl is discolored, a brackish brown color. It will not scrub off. This is the water chemistry right now:

salt - 4000
temp - 76
FC - 7
CC - 0
TC - 7
CH - 125
TA - 140
CYA - 0
pH - 8.2

Any observations or suggestions?

It takes 24 hours or more for the salt to fully dissolve and mix into the water. Use bleach to maintain chlorine if the SWG isn't making chlorine. Sounds like you've got some algae now and need to follow the SLAM Process process to kill it. Be sure to lower PH and add CYA as shown in the instructions before you start.
