Finally the ecobrite is done and we are now filling the pool. The coping is not to my liking so a portion of that needs to be redone see pictures also the ecofinish seems to have areas of darker finish like a stripe is that normal

The PB is going to come out and do one more coat of Aquabrite to remove lines and get better uniformity. Unfortunately, this means more delays. According to Brian the Aquabrite expert on this forum those lines are from poor application.

We still need the warped coping redone as well. I wish none of these mistakes happened. The PB has been accommodating, but I know it is a pain for me and is for him as well. Spending that much money I do not want to see imperfections that I can spot in 30 seconds.

Will keep you posted

So the pool is finally full of water and the 3 month ordeal is almost over. We have had tough weather, but the pool contractor, Pool Pro out of Lowell MA, was awful. I would never recommend them and he did come with good references.

The Aquabrite had to be redone, the coping was touched up and I still don't think looks that good. The decorative tile is also uneven it a couple of spots. At first I thought it was the coping but now that it is full of water and water will sit level you can see that the waterline sits midpoint of diamond in most of the tile and towards the top of diamond tile for a section or two or three. He says he is not going to redo as it is too costly and will credit me. Since we still owe him $1800, that will be the credit.

It sucks as the pool is very important to me and I wanted it to look good and it does. But if I can spot poor quality 30 feet away then it is poor quality. I paid for good quality.

I'm sorry to see you had a poor experience with Pool Pro. I was excited to see someone in my area was using them as I just had them come out today to give us an estimate. It's disappointing to see a contractor walk away from poor workmanship rather than fix the problem.

JeepDave, their references were good, but the quality was just bad. If you need further info let me know but truly there was nothing that they did that I really liked. The coping, the tile, the expansion joint or the Aquabrite. Luckily they redid the Aquabrite and that ended up good, but did cost us two weeks +.
