Houston TX pool here - hot and sunny!

I cannot tell you how happy I was to find this site in the middle of last summer. Pool was cloudy with a brownish coating that kept coming back quicker and quicker no matter what I did or bought at the pool store's advice. Neighbors told me to get a "pool guy" to take care of it and that there was "no way" to get rid of mustard algae once you got it into your pool. Well, I found you, let the tab chlorinator empty, tested 90+ ppm CYA, drained half the pool (which in July dropped the temp, so that was OK), bought a boat load of liquid bleach, and got down to business. It only took a few days for me to get the whole thing under control and really start enjoying the pool! Knowledge is power. Kicking off the season now with a SLAM, since I have been lazy over the winter, and very excited to enjoy the clear algae-free water. Thanks again for the wisdom and advice!
