Hi everybody, I am getting a 33 ft round above ground pool installed soon and was wondering if a main drain is worth installing or not. All opinions appreciated.
I was SO excited with the idea of having a main drain! Oh now all I have to do is sweep to the middle and the main drain will take care of it for me..........nope. It does not work that well.
When we get a new liner down the road I will be closing up the main drain some how
I second the "no" on the main drain. It will just be one more thing to winterize when you close the pool. Also since above ground pools are usually only 4-5 feet deep at most, it will be an obstacle for people to jam their toes into when walking around the pool.
