I also have a Bromine spa that is 340 gallons (I bit smaller than yours). I have found it is easier for me to raise the TA using Baking Soda to the level I want, and then adjust the pH down using Muriatic Acid to the level I want. That way if the pH continues to raise, I know my TA is too high, and I can use the technique given on this site to lower it. However if the pH stays fairly stable, I know I have a good TA.
Currently my spa seems to like a TA=60, pH = 7.6.
