Intex newbie, iron bacteria in well water

My pool is very clear now. I added chlorinator today.
I do have a question...Do I shock it every week or should I just keep checking levels and treat as needed?

There is no reason to shock unless something goes wrong. As long as FC never goes to zero, CC remains at 0.5 or lower, the water stays clear, and you don't see any algae on the walls then there isn't any reason to shock.
