i have a 24 foot ag round pool with a 1 hp pump and sand filter plumbing it with flex hose how far away can i be from pool before i start to lose some pressure etc.... 20 ft 30 ft etc...
thanks,
mike
You start to lose pressure the instant you make the hoses longer, but it doesn't become significant for some while. Depending on how far you want to go, you might want to use a larger diameter rigid PVC, which will have less flow resistance than flexible hose. With oversized rigid PVC you could probably go over 100 feet.
There are lots of different ways you can do it. Flex hose is fine as long as you keep the pieces of flex fairly short, like 3 to 6 feet each, and use PVC for most of the distance.
No only if you don't want to see it. and if you do bury it, mowing etc, you dont need to go deep, it is pretty tuff stuff use high pressure it will last a long time, years
