LEAK! Inground pool. Where to begin?

Hello All,
I've got a leak, inground 17K pool. Not visible in any of the above ground piping. I'm in central Florida, so the daily showers do a great job of masking it. Salt and CYA levels are going down quicker than normal splash out. With all the rain we've had the level is comes up, but I haven't had to drain out any water.
At what point do I need to take action? I'm thinking waiting till the dry season/end of swim season. Let the pool drain down itself, to isolate it to the returns skimmer or else where.
I'm hoping it not a crack caused by a root from the tree.
Any suggestions/recommendations? I'm all ears.

Are you sure you have a leak? Have you done the bucket test?

Yes, I have a leak. CYA and Salt do not evaporate.

The wide variance of the CYA and salt test would probably not be a good indicator.

It's gonna' dry out pretty soon. Let the pool evaporate down until it stops, that should locate the leak for you.

Your on it, it should stop dropping once it is below the leak..

This is frustrating. With all the rain didn't need to drain, but not it's not draining any more. Go figure. Waiting for the dry season.
