Sand filter/pump set up

I'm setting up a 15' BESTWAY (quick set)pool with the inflated ring on top. I'm assembling the filter, which is a sand filter. I've never used that type before. The pump says it must be grounded and I have no idea what to do with it....it is a 1/2 hp pump, filter and tank. The store "upgraded" us to this instead of the cartridge filter type that came with pool. Thank you for any help.

it should have a three prong plug and possibly a GFCI or whatever it is called box on or near the plug as well. if not, the outlet where you plug into the electric needs to have it
