After vacuuming, my wife dumped the sand (a whole different story as to why we have sand in the pool) and junk in the hose into the suction of the skimmer. Since then, we have had low flow and low pressure (we lost about 10 psi). Based on this, I feel we have a partial plug in the line.
We have tried using a "balloon" hose. This has a kind of balloon on the end that inflates as water flows through to ensure full pressure is going through and not backing out of the pipe. This did not help.
I am in need of some advice on how to clear this partial plug so we can regain full flow through our system.

By the way, it is a sand filter, roughly a 35,000 gallon fiberglass pool.
