Got home tonight and read FC 28.5, CC .5. Added a little over a gallon of 10% CL after the sun was down. Now reading FC 34.5, CC .5
Gotta get up early and check it again tomorrow.

Did you wait a sufficient amount of time after your last addition to retest your FC for the OCLT numbers?

Yeah, I waited almost two hours after adding chlorine to take the test tonight, pump has been running 24/7 more or less.

Still losing FC overnight, I guess less than last night though. This is taking a lot of chlorine.

Looks pretty good though, so I'm bringing the chlorine back up to 35ish and trying again.

You will get it............once you get it you should not have to go through this again if you keep your levels in line with what TFP says.

did you manually inspect and clean any stairs, lights, and skimmer doors? Hidey places with poor circulation can drag out your SLAM.

I've left Armando in the pool to handle the bottom, and I've been brushing the stairs, ladder, and sides once a day... the stuff he doesn't normally reach. I've not seen anything to brush (for a while there was always a small puff when brushing the stairs), but have been doing so anyway. The sun is behind the house so I've gone ahead and tested (FC 29, CC .5) and added Cl to get it back to 35, will test in a little while to make sure it got there.

This morning I read FC 39, CC 0.
I even did the test twice because it didn't make any sense that the FC went up overnight. My test last night must have been wrong, or I'm doing something wrong.

The test is +/- a drop and drop size can have an effect on the measurement.

If the pumps weren't running, I could probably call a dime, sure. Could not have done that in the deep end when I started.

Failed OCLT again

Started last night at FC 37, this morning I read FC 33.5 CC .5.

I've now been SLAMming for a week, and have used somewhere in the realm of 16 gallons of chlorine. Is all of this normal?
