Hi, last year I used a rectangle skimmer plug when I closed the pool last year and the skimmer leaked. I prefer to not drain the pool below the skimmer as it is already a
strain on my well to fill the pool in the spring. Should I purchase a new rectangle plug or buy a plug for the bottom of the skimmer? I've never used one of those plugs with the wing nuts. Would it expand in the cold and break the plastic on the bottom of the skimmer (where the hose hooks up to run to the pump). Hope this makes sense, thanks.
