My pool is 24 years old. The pool filter housing has been leaking and I am about to replace it (too many broken components). I bought the new housing and am getting ready to switch them out. Do I need to change out the pipes or the unions? The housing is the newest version of the older housing...

Hoping for a really cost effective way to replace only what’s cracked or seal this up with a plumber-grade sealant..
