    Jandy LX400 - Ignitor Bad (I think)

Scott - thanks. So, I assume that means that I need to remove all the screws from the top bar just above the burners and disconnect the gas valve too in order to slide the burner tray out.

    Jandy LX400 - Ignitor Bad (I think)

Been a long time since I've posted....So, we just got back from a week away and spent some time in the pool yesterday. I went to turn on the heater for the spa, and found that it won't light. I'm pretty sure that the igniter has gone bad (heater's about 4 years old). I've had this same...

Jandy LX Heater Flashback/Blowback Issue on Heater Startup

I'm entering my third year with my pool in South Jersey. This year, I'm having a problem with my Jandy LX heater. It "flashes back" when attempting to start up. In the past 2 years, this happened once or twice as there were spider webs and the like in the venturis. This year, I attempted to...

    compact solar heating module

Has anyone seen this solar pool heating module before? I was wondering if anybody has had any experience with it and whether multiple units could be easily connected into 2" PVC plumbing for an in-ground pool (here's the link: http://www.lesliespool.com/browse/Home/ ... 30/I/50589 )

Jandy LX400k BTU - Air Flow Sw error

Well, they came yesterday and according to the paperwork left in the mailbox, they replaced the blower and tested it for 10 minutes. What I find interesting is that it took me about an hour to get the heater to actually work. The blower clearly worked, but it took forever for the heater to...

Jandy LX400k BTU - Air Flow Sw error

So, pool was opened on Tuesday last week. Due to my schedule, I didn't get a chance to kick on the heater to make sure everything was working properly. Well, I tried today as I was hoping for a little spa time. Unfortunately, after several attempts where I was first getting a simple AGS error...

    Anyone using SOLAR SUN RINGS?

RonI - good point on reducing the nightly temperature loss....that's what I really intended to focus my question on, but I must not have been awake enough after a long night with 2 kids not sleeping (6 yrs / 6 mths). In any event, what has been your experience on nightly temperature loss while...

    Anyone using SOLAR SUN RINGS?

so, my question is for those of you who have experience with them, is do you end up with pool water that is warmer than the ambient temperture? If so, by about how much?

    Heater season start up question

So, we opened the pool last weekend and decided to use it this weekend as the air temp hit close to 90 (water temp was about 70). I tried getting the heater to run. Everything was connected and the gas line valves had been opened the week prior. The heater went through its process of trying...

    SWCG vs. Liquidator

JCJR - you mentioned that you ruined many shirts and shorts because of puting bleach in. This made me think of another question..... Can you increase the flow rate on the Liquidator in order to shock? Or, will the flow rate just not get high enough in order to accomplish that, thereby...

    SWCG vs. Liquidator

I'm not sure if this is the most appropriate category, but let's give it a shot. I'm currently considering the purchase of a Liquidator. Before doing so, I'd like to hear your opinions of going with the Liquidator versus a Saltwater Chlorine Generator. Clearly, the SWCG will be more money...

Anyone ever use an air filled dome?

dome wouldn't you still need to close the pool for the deep winter months if you tend to have cold winters with lengthy periods of below freezing temperatures? Or, if you were heating the water to 80-85 degrees consistently, does the cold temperature become a non-issue?
