    Skippy's New Fountain

ya, can you build one for me? Its really nicely done. I have a booster pump for a pressure side robot that i'm not using. this seems like it would be great for that!

Pentair intelliflo vsp pump poor connection to intellitouch

For what it's worth. I mentioned I had two problems, one was swg and the other was comms to the intelliflow pump from easytouch. The comms cable had to be perfectly seated in the pump to work, and it kind of worked intermittently. I bought some electronic cleaner spray on Amazon and thoroughly...

Pentair intelliflo vsp pump poor connection to intellitouch

I went out to the pool and tested the cell again by short circuiting the red and black wire coming from the ic40. Red flow led is still lit. I think I have fully confirmed that the cell is toast. Order placed with polytec pools. Thanks for the recommendation!

    LED lights breaker keeps tripping

Is it the breaker that triggers or is it the GFCI portion? If it's the breaker that triggers when the transformer is disconnected on the second winding then you have a bad transformer. It is unusual but not unheard of. You can connect a motor, like a hand drill to simulate a similar inductive...

Pentair intelliflo vsp pump poor connection to intellitouch

Thank you so much for your help! Do you know if the ic40 and ic60 are the same dimensions? eg, can I just install into the same place as where the ic40 used to be without having to modify the pipe? I can use the power center from my ic40 to the ic60 from what I understand?

Pentair intelliflo vsp pump poor connection to intellitouch

Sounds like a new cell. Any recommendations on places to get a cell from? Should I stick to ic40 or get an ic60? 42,000 gallon pool.

Pentair intelliflo vsp pump poor connection to intellitouch

The flow is fine, I just checked it. But the flow led has been constantly lit since I took notice (sometime a few weeks back when the temp got over 50). I just took the switch out of the ic40 and measured it to see if the switch is the issue. The contact works well as measured between red and...

Pentair intelliflo vsp pump poor connection to intellitouch

I think you're right. It can't be that hard to replace that cable. I'm fighting with a swg ic40 flow switch

Pentair intelliflo vsp pump poor connection to intellitouch

Hi all, My vsp pump had a connection via the control wire to intellitouch. It's somewhat intermittent. When it works, it works great. But sometimes it stops working and I got jiggle the connection on the pump side to get it to work again. When it doesn't work intellitouch says no comms on the...

    easytouch with IC40 chlorinator

This may be a dumb question but it keeps bugging me. When my pump is off the lights on the chlorinator is still lit. It is obviously not producing chlorine, but the device is powered. I have the loadcenter integration. I vaguely remember that when it was installed that the LED's on the...

Replacing incandescent lights with LED - advice needed

Its true that the economic argument is not there at current energy pricing. Part of my motivation is that i hate the idea of giving money to my local utility, its run horribly and we have outages weekly due to their precautions to avoid fires dues to high wind events. I think i will be at $1/kw...

Replacing incandescent lights with LED - advice needed

Any particular brand of bulb you would recommend? I'm ok with white, i don't really need color. my pool is light blue with dark blue tiles at the waterline.

Replacing incandescent lights with LED - advice needed

I have pentair 500W bulbs in my pool. 3 in the pool and 1 in the spa. at 35c/kw going up to 40c soon i'm moving all my lights in my home to LED and overall getting energy efficient appliances. I got a quote from the local pool company for replacing my incandescent bulbs with intellibrite 5G...

J&J Colorsplash XG Lights - Controlling with Easy Touch 8

Hi, sorry for restoring an old thread. I have the following: Controller Model: EasyTouch2 8 Controller firmware: 2.160 Can i use this to control XG lights from my pool automation? I went into screenlogic and changed an AUX circuit and intellibrite was one of the choices. Anything else i need...

    Easytouch battery?

On the back of this? Pic from the internet. Just want to make sure you're not thinking of the remote. I use the protocol adaptor and the cell phone app to communicate with the easy touch panel.

    Easytouch battery?

Hi all, We had a power outage when the atmospheric river hit the SF bay area two weeks ago. Since then I noticed that the pump was running in odd hours. I checked it out today and the time is seriously off. I first power cycled easytouch and then updated the time settings using slconfig on an...

    IntelliTouch to IntelliCenter upgrade questions..

A short in the transformer that pushed up the current to rectifier high enough until it blew seems like the source of the problem. I'm surprised they didn't protect the secondary with a fuse of any kind. Oh well. Can't tell why the secondary winding on the transformer is open. I would measure...

    WATERFALL SHEER LEAK

Can't you MacGyver a flange by cutting the old one flush, sand with long block and glue one on top of it? As long as the new flange has the right pipe diameter it shouldn't matter what brand you're using...? EDIT: if you worry about shearing strengths then drill a few holes through the outer...

*Shallow end, being shocked when grabbing railing*

What a mystery...! It has to come from somewhere, energy doesn't just appear out of nowhere and seek out your neutral return path. I find it implausible that it comes from a completely unrelated power source up on the highway.

*Shallow end, being shocked when grabbing railing*

Just trying to summarize (and i'm okay if i'm stating the obvious): the thesis is that the equipotent bond has failed at/near the area of the pool where the highest voltage gradient is detected, that the voltage gradient is leaking in through the pool water, and that the voltage leak is coming...

*Shallow end, being shocked when grabbing railing*

What i found mysterious is that the in water voltage gradient seemingly originate from outside the electrical system of the house. The whole idea of an equipotential bonding grid in pools is to remove the voltage gradient. How in the world does a stray voltage from a power line find an easier...

*Shallow end, being shocked when grabbing railing*

But, if there is an in-ground current leak, where the current flow is from the physical earth to the pools bonded ground, how does holding the railing while standing in water complete the circuit? Isn't the railing bonded at the same ground potential as the water in the pool? Is the railing...
