Not sure anything has changed, the exact same thing happened to me last year. Just have to keep calling and bugging them about it, and eventually they'll get you taken care of. Excellent prices, but customer service can vary.

I got the SI model for the bluetooth. It's useless, I've used it one time to see how it worked, and haven't since. The SE is just fine.

Good lord your power is cheap. In California, I have the extra special electric vehicle rate, and ours ranges from $0.14 per kWh in the middle of the night off-peak (when we charge the car) to like $0.54 peak in the afternoon.

I put a Kill-a-Watt on mine to check it... I don't remember the exact numbers, but I do remember my conclusion that it used about as much power as a light bulb. 120 watts for a cleaning sounds about right. It's ridiculously low compared to a cleaner powered by the pool pump.

Marina has the same robot with Pentair branding, the Warrior SE, for $699 out the door.

Looks like an Active 30i to me. Not sure if Marina ships to Canada or if you have some way to buy in the US, but they would be cheaper for sure.

Why plumb for pressure vs. a suction cleaner? Then that line could also be used for manual vacuum. Is there a benefit to pressure over suction in this situation?

Hmmm... I feel like if I can have a waterproof iPhone, I should be able to have a waterproof Roomba too. Elon Musk needs to get on this!!!
