poolvernuegen adding air to pump skimmer basket

Also check all your hose connections - one of them is probably leaking. Go segment by segment and twist them as the pump is running and you’ll hear the sucking when you find it.

Looking for some guidance on replacement pool cleaner

Sounds like you need to upgrade to a bigger filter. If debris leaves etc are a big problem just install a leaf canister. I have one just because of the occasional large leaf and I'd rather not risk it clogging the suction pipe.

Looking for some guidance on replacement pool cleaner

I have a two wheel TPC for a pool almost the same size: 16X32X6 at the deepest, 3.5 at each end. Similar use as you describe. No problems with it at all.

    Using 1" line for cleaner?

There are spring loaded covers for the suction port that close if the hose is taken off or comes off. Like this one: http://www.poolpartsonline.com/p-45200-vac-port-fitting-part-number-gw9530-opt-3290-62.aspx

Poolvergnuegen: will hoses from a Hayward Navigator work?

Re: Poolvergnuegen: will hoses from a Hayward Navigator work You're welcome. FYI if you have avariable speed pump its super easy to tune for the correct speed of the cleaner

Poolvergnuegen: will hoses from a Hayward Navigator work?

Re: Poolvergnuegen: will hoses from a Hayward Navigator work Yes the hoses are an exact fit. According to the ThePoolCleaner cust service rep I discussed this with, their hoses are a bit more flexible but essential the same. She recommended keeping the first three of four hoses as their...

The Op does not have a pressure or suction port so no booster pump either.

Look into the pool skim too - it saved my problem (prevailing wind goes opposite of my skimmer location).

    Hayward Pool Vac Ultra Problem!!!??

I just reread your first post. It has to be the hose since it happens via the skimmer too

    Hayward Pool Vac Ultra Problem!!!??

You were sucking air from somewhere. It's possible your pump basket cover wasn't tight of the o-ring is old? Have you cleaned it and lubed it? Sometimes leaks only show up under high suction.

    Hayward Pool Vac Ultra Problem!!!??

Check your hoses - you probanly have a leak in one of them or in the connections between the sections. Take the hose and make sure it's completely submerged and see if the problem still happens. Then start allowing sections to float to the surface and watch for when it happens and also see if...

Best reasonably priced vacuum for pebble sheen pool?

Is it worth the price for only twice per month? I find it therapeutic when I manually vac but that just me.

    cleaner recommendation

The Hayward Navigator is (IMHO) designed to require frequent parts replacement. It's why I switched to ThePoolCLeaner which you can buy online if there isn't a store selling it locally (where are you located?). I cna't speak to any other cleaners as these are the only two I've worked with...

The Zodiac "Barracuda" MX8 Suction Side Cleaner

You could also use the hayward type hose between the leaf catcher and the suction port - you only need one length and then you don't have to mess with the second adaptor. I'm assuming you don't need to use the inlin regulator valve since you can dial in speed with the pump.

Pool Came With a Hayward Vac XL - This Thing Sucks

Susa's suggestion is a good one - if you're running suction from the main drain while the cleaner is running it makes sense that it would get pulled to that area. In all honesty wear that thing out and replace it with a poolverneugen the pool cleaner. Made in America out of parts not designed...

Did you contact the place you bought them from? You should start there. If they don't help try calling the Poolvurneugen and discussing what you have; they may exchange for you or help guide you to the correct ones.

    Low Speed Advice

You'll need to add some automation but it's totally doable with a dual speed pump; and super fine tunable with a variable speed pump. I run my VS pump for 3 hours each morning at 1350 RPM and the suction valve turned to only the cleaner port (i.e. no skimmer) - at this speed my cleaner runs at...

The PoolCleaner - How Often Do You Replace Tires?

I leave mine in the pool unless we are swimming. It runs for three hours a day. Only had it a few months so too soon to know what my tread life will be like.

Rebuild Pool Vac Ultra or the Pool Cleaner?

Are they sending you the solid tires? They've helped other with very steep deep-end transitions where the cleaner had trouble climbing out; I forgot to mention those to you, sorry. I'm guessing on the pebble tech, but if it's "coarse" enough then I could see it not having the ability to pull...

Rebuild Pool Vac Ultra or the Pool Cleaner?

I just noticed that you have a pebbletech finish - the cleaner crawls the sides by holding itself to the side with enough suction that the tires will have traction. You may need to go higher than 12rpm if you really want it to climb the walls.

Rebuild Pool Vac Ultra or the Pool Cleaner?

You need to adjust it so that the wheels turn at about 11rpm. I actually run mine down around 9 or it surfaces.
