    Replace Kreepy with another Kreepy?

Some robotic cleaners are not too far over your $400 budget. The bottom one is under $400. I'm just going off of brand name, so make sure you do your research on the specific model, but Polaris and Dolphin are leaders in robotic cleaners...

    $49 pool cleaner???

LOL. As for the website, it did not fare well in my google search and is likely a scam. https://zerothought.in/motocrossbikes/ https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/motocrossbikes.store

Sounds too good to be true, but we need more info. Is it new and do you have a make/model?

Keeping pool clean without breaking the bank

If you are vacuuming by hand and have a screen over the pool, I would consider a hand held vacuum like this one. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BQZQTNV3/ That way you can always leave your skimmer going and dont have to mess with hoses.

To skim or not to skim, that is the question!

The Kreepy Krawly suction vac is pretty old technology and has its shortcomings including taking up a skimmer as you have noticed. Do you have other skimmers in the pool that can skim, or is that your only skimmer? If you only have 1 skimmer, or the Kreepy Krawly is old, I would consider...

    BettaBot during Initial pool fill?

I assume the betta bot is one of those solar powered surface skimmers. I would at least wait until the pool is full to avoid it running onto the walls and hitting the plaster. I was told to wait 30 days on my robot to avoid damaging the plaster. Obviously those are 2 different types of...

Robots- any alternatives to dragging the cord across decking?

Interesting about the skimmer cover. For about 10 months out of the year here I can get by with just running the robot on a weekly basis. For those months I pull it after each use and put it on its caddy and wheel it into the storage shed with the other pool stuff. For the 2 months in the...

    Best Pool Cleaner for Leaves

I removed the fabric thing on mine based on this tread and it fills up in about 10 minutes from all of the leaves. I would check your impeller on the robot to make sure it is not clogged. I have to clean mine out about once a month in the summer, with usually multiple kid hair strands wrapped...

    Advise needed on pool cleaners

My robot has a dust filter that helps screen fine particles that are on the bottom of the pool. With that said, I think you may be battling algae as your main issue. Can you post your current test results, including FC and CYA?

Traditional Robot vs Polaris Quattro Sport

I cant comment on the Quattro, but the general sentiment on here is that robots are better at cleaning than pressure side cleaners. I'm sure both will clean just fine. To me, the main differences are: Power Robots need a power cord nearby Pressure cleaner require you to run the pump and can...

Traditional Robot vs Polaris Quattro Sport

The downside is that you need a booster pump. It would probably be a good upgrade if your polaris bit the dust, but I read that you are doing a new build. I'm sure both will clean your pool just fine, you just need to decide what you want. For me, I put my robot in the pool about once a...

How are you storing your robots?

I have the caddy in my plastic shed and put the robot in the pool 1-2 times a week. No issues so far with the heat, and I'm sure we are a tad bit hotter than your climate.

Is a robotic cleaner worth it in my situation?

I'm mainly bumping this for people more familiar with AGP's, but I wanted to clarify a couple things you said. Your robot does not do anything for algae. If you get algae, it is simply that your chlorine was too low for your CYA. Sure a pool cleaner may scrub some algae off the sides, but it...

does anyone actually LIKE doing a manual vacuum of their pool....

My vacuum is still in the original shrink wrapped packaging. I guess I need to open it someday, but geez you people are weird. Don't you have pool floats and beer? That makes for a much more enjoyable daddy quiet time in the pool.

Warrior SI Bluetooth issues and doesn't clean well?

I have the 930, and rarely use the bluetooth feature. A couple of times I have noticed that mine will start doing a bad job at picking stuff up. It picks up some stuff, just takes 2 or 3 times back to back to get all of the leaves and stuff. When I notice it doing that, I have taken off the...

Robot cleaner with beach entry pool?

If it escapes and meets up with your Roomba, you will have a iRobot Scooba 9 months later.

    Robot + hair

We have a Pentair Prowler 930, which is the same as the Dolphin Active 30i and probably several other Maytronics models. I really like the way it cleans, except for one thing. Since we have started swimming this season (~2-3 weeks), I have already had to clean out hair that has tangled on the...

How can robotic cleaners clean better than auto vacuums that are connected to suction line?

I'm happy with my robot and its ability to get the fine particles, but it is mainly doing its work under the water and on the floor. For pollen and other fine particles on the surface would be better suited for your skimmer, using a skimmer sock to grab the smaller particles before they get to...

Is the blue tooth option worth the extra money?

I have bluetooth on my Pentair version of the robot. For $50 it may be tempting, but it is certainly not a function I regularly use. Besides playing around with it, I have only legit used it a couple of times: - One time I used it to pick up a rock that was bugging me that the robot kept...

Looking for robotic pool cleaner suggestions

I have the Pentair 930, which is the same as the Dolphin Premium/Active 30. It has bluetooth, I can drive it with my phone, and it has the caddy. I love the caddy as it is holds the control center, is easy to move around, and gives a good home for the robot when not in the water. I can...

    Pool cleaner replacement

Mine has a cart with a control unit on it. It is weather resistant, but my long term plan is to keep it in a shed when not in use and just wheel it out to the pool when I want to use it. Right now it just is plugged in, somewhat protected by the overhang of the house.

Pentair/Maytronics 930 - Control Panel will not light up

As a quick update, PB called Pentair yesterday afternoon. The warranty guy came out this morning, replaced the control panel and it seems to be working like a charm. I even dropped it into the spa and drove it around a bit using my phone.

Pentair/Maytronics 930 - Control Panel will not light up

On Friday afternoon the PB brought over my new robot. It a pentair branded maytronics 930. I put together the cart and sent it on its maiden voyage for a 1 hour cleaning. After about 45 minutes it stopped. I tried to turn it back on and the control panel would not respond, so I emptied the...

    Buying a used robotic cleaner?

I'm certainly not a professional, but I'm failing to see many reasons a person would want to sell a robot that was in good working condition that cleaned their pool well. Unless they have a good story like its from a pool they are taking down/filling in, I think I would pass.
