We have a Pentair Prowler 930, which is the same as the Dolphin Active 30i and probably several other Maytronics models.
I really like the way it cleans, except for one thing. Since we have started swimming this season (~2-3 weeks), I have already had to clean out hair that has tangled on the impeller twice. I only notice it because the robot will run around the pool, yet leave lots of leaves behind. As soon as I take it apart and clean out the impeller it works like a charm.
I've put skimmer socks on the skimmers to see if that helps. Any other ideas besides giving my 10 year old daughter Rogaine?
Ultimately cleaning the impeller is easy and can be done in less than 10 minutes with just removing a few screws, but I would like it better if I only had to empty the bin. Thoughts?
