    Pool cover during winter

    Did not use a cover first winter. Just maintain chemicals/supplement w bleach for chlorine once temperature of water prevented swg from producing. I only have 1 neighbor that has a tree to deal with the leaves. They are usually all gone before the really bad weather hits

    I leave my pool open yr round. I am in my second year. IMO i would not leeave mine in the waterall the time. I have a auncast deck storage box that mine goes in when not at work. I leave it plugged in andnpower turned off.

    I also have a vs pump. Run it 1200rpm 8 to 10 hours. 18 plus hours seems a awful lot.

    If your going to use a swg then its best to use it on an agp that is rated for saltwater.

    Re: Need your opinion Mine is a swg also. Its plumbed pump basket. pump filter then saltcell. And yes bubbles to some degree at the returns in the pool are normal. Thats chlorine gas being generated by the swg. Bad tile job btw.

    One thing to keep in mind with a FG pool. Make sure the installer includes a dry sump inspection pipe. Its nothing more than a 8in piece of pvc put in the ground at one end of the pool for monitoring ground water. Viking requires it by the installer for their lifetime warranty to be good.

    We have a 12x26 FG freeform design. We too had limitations in our yard. Other wise would have gone with a little larger. And yes a smaller pool has it's benefits.
