Old topic, new thread - SWG generating light on while pump off

I meant the heater's flow switch to turn itself off. I will contact Hayward, but the link above seems to indicate I would need to replace the board if I installed the flow switch.

Old topic, new thread - SWG generating light on while pump off

That is not true I am sure, I have a young child. Regardless of the safety issue, I don't like it all. I am going to put the pump and swg on a timer and rely on the heater's flow switch to shut it off I guess. Are there other options?

Old topic, new thread - SWG generating light on while pump off

I have no flow switch! I have finally found a TFP thread that covers my scenario. Low Salt Aquatrol Something is definitely shifty with this. I turned the unit off last night and with the pool uncovered for 6 hours and 4 bathers I lost no FC. I tested twice because I couldn't believe...

Now I am not sure if I have flow switch or not because I may have the RJ model?

Old topic, new thread - SWG generating light on while pump off

So I've read through searching on here and am still a little unsure. My SWG or pump is not on a timer of any sort yet, and I have been just leaving the SWG on auto. Last night I had the controller box door open at the same time as turning the pump off I noticed the generating light staying...

    All over the map

Oh I know it will never be a constant, I'm having issues even making a good guess at this point because the typical influences don't seem to be producing the typical FC usage.... but we are still only really in week 2 or 3 of opening our first pool. Need some POP I guess and just keep the...

    All over the map

Hi, I am having some issues dialing in the SWG. I can't seem to get a consistent daily FC loss, mainly because the pool usage has varied and it has spent a decent amount of time covered. I've gone from losing 3.5 ppm FC in a day to losing basically none! 2 nights ago I tested and my FC was...

Check Salt & Inspect Cell Lights Flashing- Control Panel or Cell ??

Yeah, do a proper salinity test. I ended up overshooting my salt because my SWG rang low salt, but I find it takes quite some time for the SWG to register even close to the true salinity level. Are you still filtering for multiple hours per day?

Salt Generator / CYA and usage

Yes, I have a Low Salt model. Ideal manufacturer is 1500, minimum 1200. It rang low salt a day after startup, which I now know is probably because I was an idiot in a hurry and didn't double check the pool store calculation of 37kg, where it needed at least 40kg for minimum... and I told the...

Salt Generator / CYA and usage

Interesting, my pool seems to be producing FC with little effort. My salt is 2200 (700 over Hayward recommendation) I am trying to slow it down.
