    New stock tank pool

Thanks Casey! What's the difference between the 2006c and just 2006? Just trying to understand since I used 2006 on last pool. I'm hoping to not have to drain it... we shall see!

    New stock tank pool

Hello everyone! It's been quite a few years since I've been by. Long story short.. I moved and the new place didn't have a pool :( BUT, last weekend I set up my new stock tank pool! Yay me!! (Just need to change my signature now.) It's the common 8' by 2' , 700 gallon size. I need a few...

    CYA!!

Re: CYA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What is in the powdered shock? Whatever it is could have contributed to raising your CYA. Remember.. "shock" is not a product, it is a process. The process of maintaining your FC level (based on your CYA level) at shock levels...

    CYA!!

If you're using the 10ml line then you divide the number of drops by 2 (or .5). So 7 drops would be 3.5 not 35. CC would be .5 not 5. I like to think of both the FC and CC drops as being divided by 2. It makes it so much easier.

To Bury or Not to Bury an Above Ground Pool!

cage99, I grew up in Luling so I'm very familiar with New Orleans. I used Splash Pools and Spas in Baton Rouge. They offered me the option of burying it. I had to get someone to hall out the dirt though.

To Bury or Not to Bury an Above Ground Pool!

Cherie, I did a mini deck by the stairs. Nothing much but it helps with the grass. Here's a pic of what it looks like today...

Do you know? Burying AGP; how big for 27' dug in 24"

Not sure if this will help you or not but here's a pic of mine.. It's a 21' buried. I think they dug about 2 additional feet. The dirt is the backfilled area. I have more pics if you need to see any more.

Landscaping around base of Intex Ultra Frame pools

In the last picture you can see white rocks behind the mulch. I put them inbetween my posts and dirt/mulch in front of them. If I had to do it again I'd put another green border in front of the rocks. I'm not having any trouble but some of the mulch keeps getting on the rocks and it just...

To Bury or Not to Bury an Above Ground Pool!

4 years later and I'm still waiting to do the deck! LOL! My liner is faded too. Like you I'm in full sun with absolutely no shade. I figure if it collapses when it's time to redo the liner I'll either fix it, upgrade to a resin pool, or go gunite. Depends on how much money is available at...

    pool vacuum has no suction

"It would be like you trying to drink from a straw that wasn't submerged in the drink." Or a straw that had a hole in it. You can still get some drink but not as much as if it didn't have the hole. Same applies to water. It's a leak on the pipes that go from your skimmer back to the pump area...

    pool vacuum has no suction

How is your pressure when before and after you start vacuuming? I often lose suction when I vacuum and typically do one of the following.. turn pump off and then back on, or set valve to rinse for a quick one and then back to filter. This usually gives me my prime and suction back. I don't...

Maximizing your Yard with Oval Pools

I have a 21" round and if I could do it again I'd go oval. Why?... I'd like the flat front coming off the patio and more room to swim laps. I definitly wouldn't give up pool space to have deck space but that's just me. As you can see from my pic, I don't have a deck.. still wishing for one...

    New Pool... Lots of ideas.

 My lines are about 40' away from the pool. I used 2" lines per the advice of the pros here on TFP. My pressure holds steady at 11psi. My only downfall is the height of the pump as compared to the level of pool water... every time I open the strainer basket lid water pours out, even if...

To bury or not to bury???

I'm not sure of all the details but I will look at my paperwork and find out what I can. I think there is a little bit of sand under the black plastic. How much, I'm not sure but I know they didn't bring a truck load. I think he had a small load on his tailer and went back and forth with the...

    Help with HOA rules

Ours is pretty basic... but each plan (inground and above ground) has to be brought to the board for approval. We had to submit our design for the pool and deck. Thank heavens it was approved!! I would have freaked if it wasn't. Pools and Spas "With the exception of the Common Areas, swing...

new pool plus instal, sunk 2 ft deep, costs??

I sunk mine too. 21 round by 52, sunk roughly 2-3 ft. Here's a few pics to give you an idea of how much dirt will be left. The fence is 6ft high. I had plenty left after backfilling!! I also paid someone to haul it away. I had no room for it.
