    In my experience, salt is not the best way to go for a hot tub. The chlorine burns off too quickly, and the salt can be corrosive to your spa shell if you don't maintain consistent levels. What are your motives to use salt? Are you trying to reduce chemical use, make your water softer, etc...

    Is your spa running off of the equipment listed in your signature box? Or is your spa a portable above ground unit? Normally you would not want to disable or bypass the freeze guard. Can you simply turn off the pump while you are using the spa?
