i tried but nothing. when it was in backwash i put the smallest amount of pressure the handle of the multiport valve and it went to normal, as long as i kept the perfect amount of tension on it.

it sounds like its more at the top of the filter. it still backwashes but just loud and the guage reading goes all over the place.

i was backwashing my sand filter today and it started making loud noise like theres a drill inside the filter and the gauge reading was jumping up and down. works fine in filter mode and rinse. i turned it off and put it back into filter mode. should i leave it in backwash longer?

I had my previous motor replaced in 2019. I just opened the pool and the motor sounds very loud, which I am assuming it needs replaced. Im going to call local pool company tomorrow because Im not familiar enough with the motor to install myself. Should I keep using the motors they supply or buy...

yea i dont know how to replace it myself...yet. But i told the local pool store all the info and thats the pump they brought.

its all hooked up and working but the water is looking bad (kinda light murky green/ cloudy). chlorine is pretty high. cya is prolly 50. but im going to shock it tomorrow night and well see if that helps. was just curious if the trouble was from the new motor
