Pentair 520595 Union Replacement for Salt Cell

Good as new, plumber knocked this out in 10 minutes. He said he sees "a lot" of these crack. Said the replacement part I bought is much better. I need to consider building something around my pool equipment as the Vegas sun beats down pretty hot this time of year. Thanks for the help!

Pentair 520595 Union Replacement for Salt Cell

Pentair 520595 Union Replacement for Salt Cell

I'll post a wider picture tomorrow. My solar heat kicked on today and sucker was spraying water everywhere, I think I'm past what JB Weld can help with, although I'll give it a shot. Called my plumber today and his voicemail is full, I have a feeling he might be pretty busy. Is this something...

Pentair 520595 Union Replacement for Salt Cell

The parts came with no instructions, in looking at it I'm thinking I need to have a plumber come out and cut the old coupling and connector out and install the new one? Coupling developed a crack. Thanks for any guidance here.

    Rock in my return

@Richard - Thanks, great reason to get in the pool tonight and see if I can unscrew it! I'll report back.

    Rock in my return

I noticed there's a rock in one of my returns, I tried removing it but no matter how I position it the return opening is smaller than the rock. I have no idea how it got in there, it wasn't there last season. Any ideas on getting it out? It's only slightly larger than the opening of the "cover"...

70 MPH Winds in Vegas, cleaned my filters two weeks ago and TONS of dirt in my pool

Almost there, had to empty canister 4 times. Filter pressure hasnt budged so I'm thinking I avoided having to clean immediately. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk

70 MPH Winds in Vegas, cleaned my filters two weeks ago and TONS of dirt in my pool

@dcvegas - I looked-up the last time I ordered them and here's what I buy. If you want to try some before you buy them just let me know and I'll give you a couple to try. I like these because I just pull it out, throw it away and put another one in. Easy peasy...

70 MPH Winds in Vegas, cleaned my filters two weeks ago and TONS of dirt in my pool

DC, I use hair nets in my skimmers vs. skimmer socks. Much cheaper, I pay something like $10 for 500 on Amazon. Keeps debris out of my filter. Toss them once a week. I'm sort of in the NW, Sheep Mountian. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

70 MPH Winds in Vegas, cleaned my filters two weeks ago and TONS of dirt in my pool

I tell all new O/B spend the extra bucks up front and get a robot. Just waiting for my suction cleaner to die so I can upgrade. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

70 MPH Winds in Vegas, cleaned my filters two weeks ago and TONS of dirt in my pool

Any suggestions on how to get all this dirt in my pool up but not in my filter, I just cleaned the dang thing. By far the most dirt that's ever in my pool. Looks like the entire desert blew into my pool. I have a side vac cleaner with a leave canister, have hairnets that I use in my skimmers...

I have two leftover Pentair Compool 263045 180° Actuator, what to do with them

I was planning but now I'm on the fence because I don't want to use a cover. I told the solar company that I had an actuator and they said their "kit" comes with one and they don't break the kits apart.

I have two leftover Pentair Compool 263045 180° Actuator, what to do with them

The one actuator that I have installed never runs/turns due to my designer over designing my water feature pump. See this post for frustrating reading :( http://www.troublefreepool.com/threads/101833-Need-Expert-Advice-on-Replacing-Water-Feature-Pump-in-Brand-New-Build

I have two leftover Pentair Compool 263045 180° Actuator, what to do with them

So I have two Pentair Compool 263045 180° Actuators that are left over from my build. Can't return them for a refund, what should I do with them, sell on CL? What would be a fair price? I think I paid $128 ea.

    Skimmer and side vac filters

Yep, already mentioned that to a neighbor. We get some pretty high winds in my area, will probably upgrade down the road.

    Skimmer and side vac filters

I agree the dirt will be fine going to the filter, however, I'd like to catch as much of it prior to getting to the filter if possible to keep the filter "clean". So I thought if I could do something similar to putting a skimmer sock on a skimmer with the Hayward leaf canister that is between my...

    Skimmer and side vac filters

Figured this was the right place for this if not mods feel free to move: After one season of using our pool I'm compliling a list of things I would have done differently and I can tell you putting planters right next to my pool is slowly rising near the top. Had a wind storm blow through over...

Pump making noise and vibrating, might want to look for this

No rocks, just plam silk type stuff, a couple of leaves etc. that formed a soft ball. I have a canister on my vac, I'll have to look into skimmer socks. Thanks for the tip!

Pump making noise and vibrating, might want to look for this

One of my subs was over last week showing a perspective customer some work he'd done and he commented on a very soft noise my pump was making and the fact that it was vibrating. He said I should call Pentair and have them come out and look at it as it sounded like a shaft issue. Called Pentair...

Need Expert Advice on Replacing Water Feature Pump in Brand New Build

Yes, I have EasyTouch or maybe it's called ScreenLogic, don't remember but I can control multiple pumps from it. This is the option I'm going towards and that my designer should have recommended, just trying to sell this Whisperflo pump first.

Need Expert Advice on Replacing Water Feature Pump in Brand New Build

Yea, I know I can do that but add $240+tax+shipping I'm better off selling this pump, getting the proper pump and having it run like Pentair, Jandy and two plumbers said it should. But that "would" work. Thanks for the post though

Whisperflo Motor just went out (I think), advice for replacement.

Ozzzzz, I just happen to have a 3hp whisperflo I'm looking to sell here in Vegas. Here are the details of why I'm selling it http://www.troublefreepool.com/threads/101833-Need-Expert-Advice-on-Replacing-Water-Feature-Pump-in-Brand-New-Build , maybe we can help each other out. Sent you a p.m.

Need Expert Advice on Replacing Water Feature Pump in Brand New Build

Here's a picture, hope text comes through well enough to read. What's crazy is it's currently in the position to run all three features and look at how closed the valves to the pots are, they're practically horizontal (fully closed). When I flip the actuator and shut the sheer descent off I have...

Need Expert Advice on Replacing Water Feature Pump in Brand New Build

Not sure, my plumber is coming by tomorrow, I'll ask him. I think I can program up to 9 circuits and 8 speeds on my intelliflo so I suppose that might be able to work. I have two spare actuators too that could control a valve to the returns. Wonder if I'm getting into too many moving parts here...

Need Expert Advice on Replacing Water Feature Pump in Brand New Build

I agree, and now that I have very basic knowledge of pool building I cannot imaging someone designing it in this manner. Don't get me wrong, rest of her work was good but this seems like water feature 101, right? The Intelliflo VS runs my drains, skimmers and vac. Whisperflo runs features (I...
