    Skimmer line blocked with stabilizer

Home depot rents power snakes. Here in Canada its $30 per day. May be the fastest way to fix it as opposed to trying a bunch of different things over the course of a few days.

    Leaking skimmer

Spoke with the supplier and they were supposed to send a butterfly gasket but didnt. The leak is very minor but over the years would cause problems i am sure. The supplier is sending me a proper gasket so when I close it this fall i can change out the gasket at that time. Thanks for checking in

    Leaking skimmer

Got the pool installed over the past couple days but have a very slight drip from the skimmer. I have the screws as tight as i can get them but it still drips. Any suggestions? I wish it would have come with a butterfly gasket. Im thinking run a bead of clear silicone around the outside edge.

Wiring 2 speed pump to Hayward prologic

Jim, All I have is the same manual you found. When i spoke with the supplier he said to simply cut the plug off and wire it in. I have a sneaky feeling that i can wire it in to turn on and off at preset times and then use the switch to run high speed when needed. When I get home tonight I will...

Wiring 2 speed pump to Hayward prologic

Really want to get my electrical finished tonight. All thats left is to connect my equipment to the prologic. I can't find anything that explains how to connect a 120V 2 speed pump to the panel. INYO POOLS shows how to connect a 230V but I dont want to fry anything. Anyone experienced with this...

Need some help designing plumbing layout

Check you local codes but in my area unless you ran Teck cable, you need 3" sand below and above the line as well as caution tape above the top layer of sand.

    Perma-cast Bonding Adapter

Perma cast offers the entire T fitting for it on Amazon but costs more than you would pay in a store. I found I had to get mine from a plumbing store. Not the big box stores.

    Does an inline anode hurt?

I was under the assumption that the sacrificial anode was to be used if you have a gas heater. The salt will corrode the the anode as opposed to the heater. Kinda the same ideas as in a hotwater tank in an RV. I am still in learning mode so don't take my word for it!

    Pump to pool distance

well after coming home and measuring and reviewing with my wife....looks like i am renting a trencher to put the equipment pad beside the pool. She also wants me to run a 100 ft trench to put power in the shed. lol

    Pump to pool distance

The pump I have is the Hayward Turbo Flo 2. The reason I went with a 1.5hp pump is that on my last pool I seemed to not have enough suction when vacuuming. As you can see...If i put the pump beside the garage, close to the bar....the electrical & gas will be easy. The AC for the house is...

    Pump to pool distance

Our pad will be against the garage so that's not an issue. Running gas & power 10' will be much cheaper than running it 60' to the opposite side of the pool. this way i just build the pool with the return closest to the garage. Will be cheaper and easier.

    Pump to pool distance

Appreciate the info. I already have the pump so that can't be changed out now. I can run 2.5" pvc no problem.

    Pump to pool distance

Pool will be not even a foot lower than the equipment pad and will be running 2" PVC.

    Pump to pool distance

Was originally thinking about having my equipment pad beside the pool but now thinking about putting it beside the house. The distance for the plumbing lines would be about 45'. The way I see it is i only have to dig 1 trench for the PVC instead of 1 for gas & 1 for power. Never mind the savings...
