Kim, the shelf seems to be a hit with the kids. My 11 y/o uses it as a wrestling area ? (even in the rain!) Oh, and jumping from the rocks is their absolute fave!! As for the adults, the spa has been the biggest hit so far. We’ve had a very mild spring (unusual), so I’m sure that will change...

I love watching build threads on this site and was inspired by many things that I saw here while planning & building our pool, so I figured I’d add some finished photos of our project. We’ve been enjoying the pool for a few months now and the maintenance has been easy peasy thanks to all I’ve...

    Pebbletec Sheen Color Help Please!

We have Blue Surf PS. Installed about 2 months ago. *Sometimes* has a hint of teal...I think Blue Granite may have less chance for teal. That was our 2nd choice. We’re very happy with our Blue Surf choice though! We stressed about it and went to see MANY pools. Here’s a current...

Kim, Thank you so much for your reply. I do believe they put tablets/pucks in our skimmers, but I’m not 100% sure. We were out of town when they filled and then I’ve been sick for weeks now (not corona...I don’t think ?), so I’ve not been as on top of things as I would have liked to have been...

Pool has just recently been turned over to us from PB and we’ve been testing and following recommendations from Pool Math. I have a TF-100 test kit. But, I’m having a hard time with the CYA reading. I add water all the way to the top of the tube and yet I can still see the black dot. I have...

Yes, that points right to a valley where rain water runs (when it rains A LOT). It’s in our woods where there will not be grass, so I guess that should work. Thank you for all the info!!

It’s a muddy mess back there right now, so these are the best pics I could get with as close as I could get. I’m guessing this pipe going to nowhere is for the backwash?

Yay about the easiest! I don’t think we have a backwash hose yet. Not that I know of anyway...

Yes, the pump is running and PB has been taking care of the pool. We were out of the country for a bit, but back now. I’m going to test the water tomorrow. It was cold and rainy today ?

Been out of town and then weather delays, but it’s now been plastered, filled and decking poured. Just waiting for Pool School to learn how to work everything. Then on to landscaping. I can’t wait to have my backyard back!! And the kids can’t wait to swim!!!

Jim, I know what you mean. I’ve seen some photos that make you scratch your head ?. We’ve seen several pools by our builder with great stonework. They’ve been in business for almost 40 years and build a lot of pools in our area. I’m pretty confident they will be able to deliver what we’re...

Yep, we’ll be losing a few trees. Our PB has done waterfalls like this. Not sure quite how many, but from what we’ve seen hopefully they’ll do a good job!

Thanks so much for the info, Jim! I know most people here recommend a robot instead of a Polaris. I meant to put a note about that in my intro above. We need to talk to the PB about that.

We were told the OK flagstone is more resistant to the salt than say a Tennessee flagstone (also used very prevalently in our area)...hopefully they’re right ?. We were originally going to do the flagstone on our sun shelf too, but I was not convinced and it was a lot more $ too. Thankfully...
