New build disaster. What can I do?

Listen to Texas Splash, he helped me four years ago...he knows things. I just tested my pool and it is perfect. I added 31 oz of HCl, that’s it. Last full test was 7/4. Let the builder build...you control the rest.

New build disaster. What can I do?

Extra large, you’ll need to slam that pool. Gorgeous pool btw. Patience...

    Anyone willing to barter?

Everyone who swims in my pool thinks it's chemical free...does that count?

    Patio Deck -non-slippery Composite Deck

Deckorators Vista Solid Ironwood. Wasn't worried about slippery, more about slivers with treated wood. Boy was I surprised that it is relatively non slippery. Bare foot is great, flippies less so but not bad at all. Nice to work with, very heavy, and you can use the camo system of hidden...

Thanks for the replies. Yes we will have lighted caps to match our other deck...assuming Lowes still has them. Wood looks pretty dry, may try to get the stain on this weekend, supposed to be nice.

We had a four day weekend over Easter so we got our little pool deck done. Went with a plastic decking and man was it expensive but surprisingly not slippery when wet. Unfortunately our yard looks like a construction zone. Oh, and we found some ground cover right on our farm! Once again...

    backfilling an above ground pool

We buried ours about half way (28"). Not sure what the right way is but we used heavy gauge plastic against the pool with a French drain at the bottom covered with small crushed rock. Then we just used dirt being careful not to get rocks against the pool (plastic). That was in the...

Got tired of moving dirt so we dug out the old mouse chewed badminton net and turned it into a semi permanent volleyball net for the pool. To be honest it was over engineered and never worked well on the ground. Thanks for looking...the work continues... Sunk deep into leftover PVC pipe...

Head North out of Neosho, bang a hard right at the big rock by the dead Osage Orange tree (there is an old wooden barn half down on the left). At the fork head towards the beaver dam. Don't get out there, that'd be old Wilburs mushroom spot...he drinks alot and always has his guns with him...

So this weekend we roughed in the backfill. Been very hot so we could only work till noonish. Thank goodness for tractors and buckets. I'll have to add more to the slope in the back. There is a four foot wide walk around the pool, will add rocks and pavers soon. Not sure what to do with the...

If you do go this way, notice that I have a female screw thing glued in place and the actual fountain has the taped male end so I can remove it and try different fountains.

So brief update. It has been either rainy or extremely hot but progress non the less...well ok, too much swimming, not enough working. Temporary steps: Electrical: Hose/vacuum storage: Three way with aeration fountain, can also see French Drain: Fountain in action (hits center of...

    above ground on slope

I would be afraid any fill will settle over time. We had a slope at least as deep as yours and I dug it out with the tractor so there was no fill at all. Wasn't fun, but I'm not worried it will sink either.

Thanks to all on this site as I have been quietly digesting eleventy billion posts on building a pool... We live on a farm in rural MO where the weather cooperated for two days...but no more (it's raining and I cannot finish the pump/electric). We did the ground prep two weeks before the pool...

New pool build: Anyone using waterproof LED light strips?

I love the idea...but, I did this in my kitchen under the cabinets and it wasn't long before a short segment stopped working and it annoyed the heck out of me. Basically had to replace the entire run...so I just pulled them and gave up on it.
