'Dishing' around return jet (pics added!)

I hope you are right about that. I feel like we would have noticed it before now but I guess it's possible we didn't until the scale around it caught our attention, maybe. Thanks!

'Dishing' around return jet (pics added!)

But none of the other jets look like that. They are all perfectly flat. The pool was plastered with gray color in 2011. It's faded a lot in areas so that's what we thought the white was. Our pool has run a high pH ever since I switched to liquid chlorine several years ago. Is that what is...

'Dishing' around return jet (pics added!)

I need advice! A month ago we noticed a symmetrical concave area around one of the return jets, about the size of a dinner plate, where it's sinking in slightly (1/2" or less). The concrete is not cracked but there is a white line around the perimeter where the dishing starts. Does anyone know...

Rough coping cutting and scraping everyone (pic)

wow that sander is affordable! I have an automatic cover that sits below the coping, so I could sand with the pool covered . I sure wouldn't want to hit the pool cover with it though. Thanks for the recommendation. If the epoxy doesn't work, I might try it.

Rough coping cutting and scraping everyone (pic)

That looks like a lot more than I want to do... however one link led to another and I found this: Pool & Roof Deck Rubberized Epoxy Coating | ArmorGarage . And it comes in clear! Wonder if I could just apply a coat along the edge of the coping without having to do the entire thing? I guess...

Rough coping cutting and scraping everyone (pic)

Thanks. Depression is setting in. Could this have been prevented if we had sealed the concrete when it was fresh? Not one contractor mentioned it, and we were brand new to the whole process... simultaneously doing a pool build and remodel to a house we had just purchased. Also caring for a...

Rough coping cutting and scraping everyone (pic)

I posted last week but now I have a photo to better illustrate the issue. Our deck and cantilevered pool edge is concrete. Water has worn it down to the aggregate and it is extremely rough. I got quotes on getting the whole patio and coping resurfaced: $7000-$8000. Way out of reach right now. Is...

How to make patio door meet self closing, self latching requirement?

Our community has the same rules BUT if you put an automatic cover on the pool, none of the doors or gates have to self-close. Even though it was expensive, we went with that option. Is that an option where you are?

Least expensive solution to rough concrete pool deck

The patio and coping around our pool are concrete. Poured in 2011. The coping has become quite rough from the water splash and aggregate is exposed. Anyone climbing out of the pool gets skinned knees. The patio area is all rough concrete, the texture of an old sidewalk or driveway. Is there...
