No lights or steps. I have two ladders and that is all. I brush both when I brush the pool.

    Am I crazy?

I'm completely out of the CYA test, so I'm waiting on those refills. I also found it weird that before I did the shock this evening, my PH showed 8.2 or above on the drop test. After I added the chlorine and tested again, the PH showed around 7.2. - - - Updated - - - CC was around 2 when I tested

    Am I crazy?

So, I started my opening yesterday of an expected green pool. I had to close my pool earlier than I wanted to last year due to having back surgery at the end of September, so I expected it to be a mess. So I got everything started up and circulating, vacuumed to waste and shocked it last night...

    The battle is won

Yes, has been a dream for a couple weeks now. Add chlorine and brush/net the bottom daily is all I've had to do (adding about a gallon of 10% every two days). One question, all my water numbers are excellent PH 7.2, TA 150, CYA 30, but my CH is low at 100. Should I be worried about it?

    The battle is won

After fighting cloudiness at opening, then a leak, then an algae outbreak while pool leaking on vacation- I have conquered ?

    Leak help

Ok, I have returned from vacation and ready to tackle this problem if possible. I had to just let the pool sit while I was gone, so it is good and green. Before I left, I let the pool continue to fall without adding water. I put the plugs in my return jets as well. Before I left, the water was...

    Leak help

Ok, I have discovered that I definitely have am losing water in my pool to a leak. I noticed I was losing around an inch and a half or more of water in around 24 hours. So here are the steps I've taken so far: 2 days ago I filled to normal level (little over half way up the skimmer inlet)...

    First opening

Here are my latest readings with my test kit. I did shock the pool again last night. FC-13 CC-0 PH-7.2 TA-175 CH-100 CYA-32 Seeing more and more of the bottom of the pool everyday and I'm brushing every day. Filter has been holding steady PSI. Should I be concerned with my TA and CH numbers?

Pool back up and running full steam this afternoon, and I could see the bottom when I took off the cover!

    First opening

My CYA seems to still be around 10-15. Water is 70 degrees. I've added 4 pounds of stabilizer and I have 4 more on hand. I did some investigating on the filter and appears my spider gasket is shot. While I'm at it, are there any seals/gaskets on the pump diverter besides the spider and big O...

Well, now I'm having an issue with filter not wanting to hold any pressure. It surges up to 5 for a second and drops to zero

    First opening

Ok, pool still remains cloudy. I did a good, long vac to waist the best I could without being able to see the bottom. The pic is of what I stirred up on the bottom of the pool with the skimmer vac brush. I'm down to 4 days to get the sucker clear and not gaining confidence ?

    First opening

Got a nice sunny day today, so took off the cover and vacuumed. Pool continues to be cloudy. I back washed after vacuum and added more DE. I hadn't tested my chlorine in a couple days because I wanted to see what it would hold. Readings today were 6 FC and 1CC. Going to let the sun hit it all...

I will definitely try those. Will doing either affect the CYA I'm putting in the pool? I'm probably due for a backwash as well.
