Pump not to be used with soft sided pools such as Intex or Coleman. Wait ….What?

I am going with D, all of the above lol After my research on getting a better pump/filter. The one big hang up I found, was the bonding and\or the grounding for intex pools. Now I am sure most of us have done some "things" so the next part is at your own peril. I figure I will just make sure...

Hayward penguin, or other suction side cleaners.

Well I can't find it now... I ran it for a few hours and it cleaned a good 95% of the pool, including the curves on the bottom.. Pretty impressive.... AND I must say, a LARGE cartridge filter is awesome... no possible issue with sand blow, that I was having before. Dont get me wrong, the sand...

Hayward penguin, or other suction side cleaners.

So I tried searching around for the info I needed, and came up with the same info I already knew. Sand filters NEED to be backwashed frequently. Being in Utah and a huge drought, I figured that's not the best use of water. So I found a nice large Jandy cartridge filter and got a larger pump...

Am I getting Cocky?? Or am I just that good??

it is an intex, and I have the intex vac, and the penguin I just dont think the pump is strong enough for the penguin... If I gotta mess with hoses, I may as well just do it all at once lol

Am I getting Cocky?? Or am I just that good??

So I haven't measured my pool for probably a month. I base it off of "look/clarity" of the water. If it looks a little cloudy, I check to see if my pump ran (I have sense which measures my power in and out.) So I can check that app as it has found my pump, to see if and when it has ran...

Adding a 1.5hp single speed for vac purposes?

So I tracked down a good deal on a 1.5 hp pump a few years ago.. Little did I realize at the time a 2 speed would have been better.. oh well for $100 i'll make it work. I currently run the intex pump/sand filter combo.. But it just doesn't have that ooomph for vacuuming. So I thought I would add...

Broken Lawn Irrigation Under Pool Floor

do you have access to it from the side? Maybe dump some sand, then use (whatever size the hole is) a piece of PVC, with a cap or plug.... Pour some sand (or whatever media) and use that to push it in. Itll be tricky to make sure it doesnt go downward, or upward (unless you have like foam under...

Broken Lawn Irrigation Under Pool Floor

I would think if its a machine made for it sure (pipe with sand and air coming out) but for a backyard handyman (as most of us probably are) ... ehhhh maybe not. Maybe contact a concrete lifting company.. see what they think. I mean they have to pump stuff where you cant see... See if they...

First year shut down open with new pool

haven't done that yet, these pics were literally when I took the cover off.. The floaties are the pool pillows for ice (and to make it so water pooled for easy pump out) The spot on the floor is "debris/loose" things.. its the wall ones I am wondering why they formed But hey, how about that...

First year shut down open with new pool

And I can't be more happy with my shut down. I had a round pool for like 5 yrs and learned from it (rectangle much easier to get cover off with no Crud getting in lol) But this thing is crystal clear. So question on the little mold spots on the sides? Is that just a condensation collection...

I drained just below the outlet/inlet holes (as thats what I have seen should be done in my research) I would love to keep it more full, I just worry about water getting behind them and splitting things. Help! - Hard Plumbing Intex Krystal Clear pump/Filter

What these 2 said... BUT it doesnt have to be electrical.. it can be regular slip reducers, you just have to sand off the raised size letters. Finding a gasket was a little harder, went to my hose supply and found some.. umm ill try and track down 1 and take a picture. But you cut your intex...
