Rushing to add Edge 40 but not balanced yet

Thanks for the great suggestions, I decided to add the salt today since the girls were ready to jump in. I’ll hold off from Turing it on until tomorrow at this point, I may still use pucks while I’m gone but this will allow me to test that it functions this week while I’m home. When I get back...

Rushing to add Edge 40 but not balanced yet

I forgot to mention that I have not added salt yet, I was hoping to add it today since the kids could hop in the pool & help it dissolve.

Rushing to add Edge 40 but not balanced yet

I just realized that we are leaving on vacation next week & I'm running out of time balancing before we leave. We opened the first week of June & my water is still slightly cloudy so I’m finishing up a SLAM. I have the Edge 40 plumbed in but haven’t connected electrical yet so I could add liquid...

    How to convert during shortage?

Changed out the sand in the filter this weekend, I am officially done with my conversion. Chlorine is holding overnight with no CC's so next step is to install the SWG,

Can I just wire my pump to plug into a regular outlet?

This particular one is only 15 amp, I want to source a 20 amp before I hook up the SWG.

Can I just wire my pump to plug into a regular outlet?

My wiring is very similar to yours but mine has a GFCI breaker in the panel, my pump is plugged into an outlet at the pool pad. I just replaced the outdoor box with a new double gang set up, wired a switch in one gang that feeds a WiFi outlet in the other so I can manually kill power to the...

Can I replace my 1 hp Super Pump VS motor with a .85 ELV08c?

I’m curious to see your results when you change over. Having just received my electric bill after running my 1hp Super Pump 24/7 for a month I’m ready to make the change to a VS motor as well.

Need to wire in SWG but want to remove in the winter

I have a new Edge 40 SWG to install but the wiring to my current pump is extremely basic just a single outlet in a weather box with a switch that my pump plugs into. Currently the pump is running 24/7, I turn the switch on or off as I need to backflush but running the pump all the time isn't...

So does it look like white mold or stains to you @Previously-Matt_baqua_Oh ?

    How to convert during shortage?

I just went out & took some pictures of the stains I’m seeing. Maybe they were there before I started converting but they used to make the water cloudy when I scrubbed them & now they don’t move or dissipate?

    How to convert during shortage?

I’ve been running the pool on LC for the past few weeks due to work. The filter is on 24/7 & the robot runs once a day. I’m still seeing some white slime in the vac bag & on the pool floor so I don’t know if the conversion is complete yet? Now when I brush the stains there’s very little...

Need to wire in SWG but want to remove in the winter

I forgot to add that I also have a smart WiFi outlet that I can use instead of a timer & thought about setting a schedule with the smart outlet instead of a timer.

Need to wire in SWG but want to remove in the winter

I’m getting ready to finally install my Edge 40 SWG but have to figure out how to wire it so that I can remove it in the winter. My pool pad wiring is extremely basic, just one outlet with a switch over the top of it to turn the pump on or off in an outdoor plug enclosure, there is no timer...

    How to convert during shortage?

I need to figure out a plan for memorial day weekend since we’ll be gone for the long weekend. I’m going to change my sand this weekend & add CYA since I’ve been holding FC overnight for the last few nights. Next week I’ll be gone for work but my wife will be adding LC as necessary to maintain...

    How to convert during shortage?

Ocean State has been a total win for us, I didn’t even know that we had a store in town. I was just there yesterday to grab more LC & they had a fresh shipment in stock. I have 40 gallons in my stash at this point which should get me through the rest of the conversion & keep me going until I...

    How to convert during shortage?

I can’t believe how good the water looks! Been running the robot every day for a few cycles every day & staying on top of FC. Last night was the first night that we didn’t loose any FC, I may not be out of the woods yet but I think I can see the light!

    How to convert during shortage?

So I decided to just go for it on Saturday, started with 4 bags of shock (no cya) from the local pool store while I drove all over town sourcing liquid chlorine. The water turned a pretty shade of green with foam that I tried to skim off while running the filter, I didn’t see a mention of...

VS or two speed pump with 115v?

It shouldn’t be an issue running for 12 hours a day with the current pump, it was replaced less than 2 years ago along with the filter which is why I’d hate to get rid of it for a vs pump. I’m trying to get a good basic system up & running this year so I can then eventually add/upgrade as...

VS or two speed pump with 115v?

My estimate is about 20k gallons for the pool, I’ve been running the filter all day at this point as I had a lot of clean up to do to get the pool up & running, no idea what the previous owners did for run time. I’m also considering adding a mechanical timer & would hopefully run the pool/SWG...
