    So I started noticing a whining noise coming from my pump. It seems to start when the outside temperature gets below 50 F, but goes away when it warms up past 60F. Attached a video of the sound. Is this a sign of bad bearings?

    How much liquid chlorine will I be using weekly (what is your guess based off experience)?

    Looking back at my logs for last week, for a seven day period, I used 2.875 gallons of 10% chlorine.

    When you say "keep a low TA", what should that value be? I have been keeping my TA around 80, but I am having to add acid every 2 days to bring it back down to around 7.6.

    Brand New Pool - Testing Results

    Thanks for the quick reply. I put in the Borax about 2 hours ago and I just put in 5 lbs of baking soda. According to pool math I need 20 lbs total of baking soda, so off to the store to pick up more. Thanks again for the feedback. Greatly appreciated!!!
