Luckily I contacted Dolphin service and without questions (looks many others are complaining) they asked me to send my Active 20 and then in less than a week it was back with the new cable/swivel. Happy customer here!! (ended up just paying $50 for shipping one way vs the $300 estimated above)

went to Marina and looks I was not alone with this issue as a "New for 2018" cable with swivel is now available (Maytronics Dolphin 99958907-DIY Cable 18M with Swivel - $145.99 )...just another $145 on top of the $600 I paid for it less than a year ago.

Hi, I purchased my Active 20 from Marina back in June (after following the recommendations from this thread). I love how it cleans and climb walls but have a constant (and annoying) cable tangling. Any recommendation in what I could do to solve for this? Maybe a swivel option I could install...

I like the idea, I looked at amazon for boxes and found this one that is made of plastic and would also help in case of rain http://a.co/0zkunGF...this is in reference to the question I made about how to protect the control unit from sun/rain

That could be an option, ideally looking for a more longer term alternative, in case of ideas please send them my way.
