Vinyl patch coming loose at edge.

I have an circular 6”+ underwater patch that is coming loose at part of the edge. The loose part is about 3” long by 1/2” deep. The rest seems to be well stuck and not leaking. The pool liner is old so, I don’t want to try to pull it off. The patch is original liner material so cutting it would...

Looking for a replacement Circupool SI-45 cell.

I close it because I don’t like my grandkids in the pool when I have very high levels of chlorine. That is just me.

No. It has been closed to swimming. My cover is a mesh that doesn’t keep tiny stuff out of the pool.

Ammonia Based organics? I wonder where they are coming from. The pool has been closed for 2 weeks for a SLAM because of the start of an algae bloom. Except for the first day of the slam, my CC level has been 0.

Looking for a replacement Circupool SI-45 cell.

The run time was about 12 hours. The reason for my full potential comment is until this year, I ran it at 50% for whatever time I ran the pump. (The size or the cell is over double my pool size.) Anymore than that and I would over chlorinate the pool. Recently, I have had to run it at 85% +...

Looking for a replacement Circupool SI-45 cell.

So…with my SWG at 100%, my FC increased by 4.5 overnight, 8.5 to 13. CC still 0. The generator is working but, I don’t think it is working at what I think its full potential should be. All control panel numbers are within manufacturer’s specifications. It looks like I will be buying a...

On today’s edition of why I don’t let my husband touch the pool…

Sounds so familiar. Don’t ask me why. I am also on a well and limit my fill times to 90 minutes max per day using my phone timer. You definitely don’t want to run your well dry. If you have a deep drain, shut off your skimmers, and run your pump as usual until the water is up to your...

Looking for a replacement Circupool SI-45 cell.

Some good news (for me anyway). This morning‘s OCL was .5. The only thing that could account for the loss yesterday was the large amount of rain we had during the night. The other good news is that I had an increase of 1.5 - 2.0 FC after I set the SWG to 100% and ran it for 11 hours during the...

Looking for a replacement Circupool SI-45 cell.

Had an OCL of 2.0. No visible organics. FC in 8.0 CC is 0.0. Am going to run it again tonight to see if it was a fluke. I put the SWG up to 100%. I will be happy if the FC stays 8.0.

I had the control unit repaired last fall. Basically, they replaced everything but the led panel. Will do “ocl” then test as suggested.

5 years. It is struggling to generate enough chlorine. I bought it from Discount Pools.

My Circupool SI-45 cell is on its last legs. Has anyone dealt with Salt Pool Store - The Experts in Salt Water Chlorine Systems ? If so, what is your opinion of them? They list replacement cells at a much lower cost than Discount Pools.

Inground pool leak driving me crazy

Hmm. My response to you did not post for some reason. To answer your question, yes I finally found the leak. It was a previous patch that started leaking for some reason. The bottom of it started lifting. Because the original patch was made from left over liner (therefore thick), I could not...

Inground pool leak driving me crazy

I have a leak in a inground pool with a vinyl liner where I am losing up to a 1/2” to 3/4” of water per day the cannot be attributed to evaporation. Last fall during seasonal closing, I somehow put a hole in the liner while using a pool brush. Because of a lack of proper repair materials, I...

Looking to dump sand filter due to well water

I am fortunate in that my well is about 50’ deep by 3’ in diameter. It contains about 2200 gallons of water so, I don’t have to worry much about using too much water under most situations. That is except if I have to add water to my pool. I limit my fills to 1 hour per day. The reason for this...

Looking to dump sand filter due to well water

I run a sand filter and I am on a well also. I am very conscious about draining it. I set a timer for 1 hour when I need to top off. I get about a 3/4” pool level rise for each hour. If I need more, I wait until the next day to add more. I don’t go crazy when backflushing. I have a sight glass...

    Does Chlorine Sink?

Bleach in the bottle is mostly water (94% to 87.5% depending on the strength you buy). If there was an issue with separation, there would be “shake well before use” on the label. Once you mix your daily dose in, unless you never run your filter system, I would think that likelyhood of separation...

    Does Chlorine Sink?

Chlorine is heavier than water and will sink to the bottom if you don’t slowly pour it into a return jet stream or brush the bottom after you add it. Once it is mixed in, it does not come out of suspension. Do you have bottom drains in your pool? If you do, are they turn off or on?

    Circupool SWG system reset

Does anyone now how to reset the percentage or system for a Circupool SI series SWG? My problem is that I was running my filter system for 8 hours with the SWG percentage set for 50%. That link and the fc levels you are quoting are for a non-SWG pool. The cya chart in Pool School is the one you want for a SWG pool. Pool math also has to be setup for SWG vs chlorine pool.
