I'm in Houston too. I just plan to run my pump at low speed like 1800 rpm continuously to keep water moving. We are not expecting to lose power like last time. However, if we do lose power for extended time I'll open the drain plugs at the bottom of the filter and the pumps to let water out.

For the small repair around the housing I don't think matching color will be a big deal. I'll check out Forida SunSeeker. The Pentair lights are expensive and as we all know, are not made well. Going to order the Atlas Pool Putty to fix those problem areas before they grow larger.

Bypass valve broken from the sounds. Had repairman out and in trying to remove bolts that hold the manifold, a bolt was all corroded and snapped off. Says he can’t get manifold off now to get to bypass valve and bolt goes into heat exchanger. Net result is at this, point need new heater.

It really is the pump basket but on this pump the volute and pump basket are all one piece. Think I'll look at pricing a new pump too. It's old and noisy.

The epoxy was partially successful. The pump will prime and circulate water through the system but I have a lot of air coming in so it is noisy and I'm getting a full flow through the system. With the cold weather here in Texas it looks like a have small crack in the pool pump basket. I was wondering if I could use a glue or expoxy to fill the crack. I am hoping that I could give a try. If yes, does anyone recommend an epoxy for this job? If I can't do I just need to replace that...

My IC40 has been blinking green high salt for awhile now. Cleaned it, checked flow switch, etc and it keeps blinking green. Every now and then it will be solid green. However, it keeps making chlorine fine so I am just living with it.

Local independent pool store tested the salt levels and recorded that.
