    Where To Put It?

Howdy! I'm really interested in installing a Handy TruClear system to integrate with my current setup. The manual says it should be horizontal in a 16" section of pipe - I just don't see an option without major tear-up. Any ideas?

    Jandy Watercolors Light Schematic

Has anyone reverse engineered the "Light Engine" (PCB) for a Jandy Watercolors light, or accessed the manufacture's schematic? Mine's gone out & I'm looking for any resources to help troubleshoot and fix it on the cheap.

    Leaking Valve

I noticed my backwash hose is filling with water, even though it's set on "filter," which is a pretty clear sign my valve has a leak. Any advice on what to do to fix it?

    Aftermarket LED Panel

My Jandy WaterColor LED's seem to be going out (VERY dim, not changing colors). I've checked the wiring back to the control box & don't see any obvious issues with voltage, connections, etc. Replacement LED panels are $$ - does anyone make a drop-in aftermarket panel that may be cheaper?

    Booster Pump Replacement Options

The booster pump for my Polaris started making a terrible noise a few weeks ago, then finally stopped working. I had some time this weekend to pull it apart and found the shaft was corroded and bearings shot. Long story short, I'm in need of a replacement. Are there any "non-standard" (and...

    Jandy LED's Dim & Flickering

Last night my wife and I fired up the hot tub for a bit of relaxing, but were surprised to see our Jandy LED pool lights were very dim and flickering between full-brightness & dim. Any ideas where to start on this issue?

    Placement of Chlorine Tank

I'm considering a Stenner setup, but my pump pad sits in full sun most of the day. Any advice on how to keep the chlorine cool(er) and shielded from the sun?

Newbie Jen Here with a New (to me) Pool!

Jen, Texas Splash is right to caution you regarding the UV system. See the thread below about how it can go horribly wrong. I think what you will find in this group is a difference between "over chlorinating" and "correctly chlorinating" your water. The amount of chlorine added has to be...

Allowing your kids to swim in non TFPC pools

We all probably swam in pools of similar nature as kids, had fun, made memories and didn't die. While yes, now in retrospect we collectively realize the truth, kids should be kids. Goggles, showers, etc. as others have mentioned, but also a word of caution regarding water clarity - if you/they...

Quite impressive - I'm guessing they put in the puck floater (white dot by the ladder, with shadow on floor) since they knew they might be away for a few days...

New Pool Boy...he is I...and he is clueless

Rick, My two cents regarding your questions & background - living with a minimal amount of algae could potentially become a bigger problem rather quickly. My advice is to eliminate all algae which will then make long-term maintenance and upkeep significantly easier. Take for example, your...

Warning: "Diamond Clear Mega Shock" contains CYA!!!

That's soooo bad! Look at the coping on the lower-left edge of the green pool, especially the corner by the ladder - it's not even straight!

    Wrong Target FC Value

I think I've been wasting bleach, but looking for confirmation. Last season I had my pool at 40 CYA and was targeting 6 PPM when I balanced my pool. After excessive rains earlier in the year, I checked my CYA before this swim season and it had dropped to 30. I JUST realized I never updated my...

Is it okay to swim with the pump on?

Yes - ours never shuts off (variable speed pump). Some members of the forum will likely recommend only running the pump at certain times of day for set intervals, mostly to turn over the water in the pool & save energy. I've never seen a recommendation against swimming while it's on.

    Name That Chair

My wife fell in love with these reclining chairs with footstools on our cruise and put me in charge of tracking down some for our backyard. I couldn't find a manufacturer label under the chair, or anything similar online. Anyone know what to call these, or where to find them?

    Wet Suit in the Pool

Ditto on this post! We're not far from you & our water is in the low 80's. My stubborn son will swim, but it's still a bit on the chilly side for me.
