Dead Wybot - No Support Reply

They have a commercial running often now. It's got that awful annoying ai voice. Their marketing dept was too cheap to hire a real vo artist. I won't buy one solely for that.

Can I connect a suction side cleaner to my vacuum plate? (Kreepy Krauly type of cleaner)

I think that should work. My setup didn't have the plate so instead I got the hayward leaf canister. (It attaches between hoses) Works great and cost about the same iirc

Pool water salty after just 2 years - is this normal?

Are you on a water softener? I thought some of those used salt and when they need a new charge the water is VERY salty. I could be wrong. I remember someone I knew had that exact issue. Their tap water got super salty if they didn't keep up on that.

Using more chlorine than past years...not sure why

You might consider bumping your cya to 50. I had mine at 30 and it just wasn't enough. Bumping it to 50, my chlorine levels lasts longer as a result.

Getting new liner, want to keep it looking new as long as possible....

Letting shock powder sit on it will definitely lighten things up where it sat. I don't believe liquid chlorine caused it. I pour over the deep end jet while the pump is running. It disapates quite rapidly. The best thing to get the most liner life is making sure you only dose the max...

An Inexplicable Loss of Water after EXTENSIVE pressure testing/liner scanning/everything!!! Please HELP!

Is your sand filter waste line plumbing going directly to your sewer? Someone had a leak like yours. It turned out the spider gasket in the sand filters multiport valve was leaking slowly out the waste line. So it leaked every time the pump was on. it was hard plumbed to the sewer so they...

what is bad about high CYA levels?

The higher it goes, the more higher chlorine you have to maintain. 4 ppm is insufficient for a cya of 125. The minimum is 10, but 14-16 is best. https://www.troublefreepool.com/calc.html Switch to using liquid chlorine with a cya of 30 and you won't have any issues like this. You'll also...

Hayward Sand Filter - Need Advice

Can you post a set of water test results? I'd also do an overnight chlorine loss test. This sure does sound like algae. Beginning phase you don't really see it but it will clog a filter. A possibility.
