hello, In Pool Math, why is the suggested FC levels 5-7(with CYA at 40) but the goal is set to 4?

Hello all, This may have been asked before but here goes,,, Why don't they sell chlorine pucks that do not add CYA to your pool???

Never had to fill pool as much as this year do to the winter damage. At 9AM this morning FC was at 19...Pressure is staying within 1.5 of clean through much of the week....No change at all in clarity

What if it ends up being minerals from filling about 5000 gallons from my well? Is there a over the counter remedy for that?

I just ran the cya test a few more times because I added the stabilizer Tuesday when I only had the test strips to go by. I didn't think the test strips would be so horribly inaccurate so I needed to test a few times because I know that it would go up a little after a few days. Its at 55 now...
