Hi all, what chemical is everyone using to clean their vinyl auto cover? I'm in the process of re-opening for the season and my cover is pretty nasty. Will Dawn or similar be fine or is there a special cleaner? Thanks!

I'm actually having the opposite problem, hard time raising pH. Was stuck around 7-7.2 until adding borates, now it's been hovering around 7.5. Tried raising with aeration for 2-3 hours a day before doing the borates.

Update New pump arrived safely and is running smoothly. Thank you for the help!

Here are my latest results. I plan to raise CYA and borates by 10, but was curious if there's any reason to lower my TA? I currently run my pump on low for 6 hours with the SWG at 40%.

Do you have a contact number? Pump doesn't work, either capacitor was damaged or motor is stuck, just hums loud when wired.

So my pool guy wanted to hook up my new pump while I was at work and now it won't turn over. He told me it just buzzes and won't kick over. He also said he thinks a fuse blew, but again I'm not home to check. I have it wired to my intermatic timer if that makes a difference. Here is the photo...

Thank you! I did open the second one and the only area that looked like it wasn't padded was the capacitor, but it looked to be in good shape. Going to have it installed tomorrow, hopefully it fires up. Appreciate you taking the time to look into it.

Appreciate you reaching out, but this is actually the second one you guys have sent out. Those photos are how each arrived. I opened this one and it seems ok, going to try hooking it up. Post was more wondering if this is a common occurrence or just random.
